Three stages. Three sets of lesson plans.
Every lesson is pitched at the right stage, so a P1 class and a P7 class never get the same lesson. Here is Term 1, Lesson 1 at each stage.
Foundation · P1 and P2 · Ages 4 to 6
Animal Park and Find the Food
Space · Lesson 1
Move. I can move in different ways.
Solve. I can find space to move into.
Connect. I can respect other people's space.
Key Stage 1 · P3 and P4 · Ages 6 to 8
Corner Tag and Cross the Water Hole
Space · Lesson 1
Move. I can move confidently into space.
Solve. I can decide when it is a good time to move into a space.
Connect. I can collaborate and communicate with others.
Key Stage 2 · P5 to P7 · Ages 8 to 11
Mini Freeze Tag and Cross Over
Dodge · Lesson 1
Move. I can move fluently to evade people and objects.
Solve. I can use tactics that could be successful against multiple defenders.
Connect. I can persevere when faced with increased challenges.
Open it, print it, teach it.
Every lesson card follows the same layout, so any teacher can pick one up cold and run a good session.
Three clear objectives
Move, Solve and Connect, written as pupil-friendly "I can" statements.
A set-up diagram for every activity
Cones, players and routes drawn out, so you can set up in minutes.
Managing Difference built in
Space, Task, Equipment and People ideas to make each activity easier or harder.
A learning review to finish
A Connect question and a review prompt to link PE to the rest of the school day.
