Creating Change Through Education, 13,250 Young People Leading the Way

Healthy Lifestylez has successfully delivered its RespectHER campaign to over 13,000 young people across Northern Ireland, as part of its commitment to supporting the Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) campaign in partnership with local councils and the NI Executive.

Working collaboratively with schools, sports clubs, and community organisations, the campaign engaged young people across Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon, Mid Ulster, and Newry Mourne and Down. The initiative aimed to challenge negative attitudes and behaviours while promoting a culture of respect, equality, and healthy relationships.

RespectHER is an interactive and educational workshop designed to empower young people with the knowledge and confidence to recognise harmful behaviours, understand the importance of consent and boundaries, and contribute to positive cultural change within their communities with 96% or participants stating they have benefited from this campaign.

In total, the programme was delivered across 68 schools and 14 sports and youth clubs, equipping participants with essential life skills and encouraging them to play an active role in creating safer environments for all.

This area of work is so important, we have problem in our society and the only way we will be successful in changing it will be a whole societal approach.
