March Madness

mARCH maDNESS

March 2025 was a landmark month for Healthy Kidz, marked by great successes across the board. Alongside our regular PE lessons, after-school programmes, and council sessions, we hosted a wide range of exciting special events. Delivering this required exceptional organisation, and our dedicated team rose to the challenge, ensuring everything ran seamlessly. These events included:

Lurgan Model IPS Integrational Day
To celebrate their monumental transition to an integrated school, Lurgan Model IPS entrusted us to deliver a fun-filled, high-energy event. With two of our inflatables in action and our soft archery station set up, the energy was electric! The students fully embraced these interactive activities, making it a memorable day for all involved. We were delighted to be part of such a significant milestone in their school’s journey.

Launch of Healthy Lifestylez
Our partner brand, Healthy Lifestylez, officially stepped into the spotlight! While it was no secret that we’ve been delivering council-led sessions and other events tailored for an older audience, the official social media launch gave the brand a well-deserved platform. The response was fantastic, with strong engagement across all our channels. We’re excited to share even more content and expand our reach in the coming months!

International Women’s Day 5K Run/Walk
A first for Healthy Kidz, and what a success it was! We proudly hosted a charity 5K run/walk in aid of Women’s Aid, supporting their mission to end domestic abuse against women and girls. Thanks to the incredible generosity of participants, we raised £1,000 for this vital cause. We were especially honoured to welcome the family of Natalie McNally, whose presence made the event even more meaningful.

UYI Launch Event
As leading partners in the inspiring PEACEPLUS-supported UYI project, Healthy Kidz took centre stage in organising its official launch event in Black Mountain Shared Space. We were privileged to welcome key figures, including the Education Minister the SEUPB Chief Executive, who spoke about the project’s transformative impact on young people. It was an inspiring day, and we are excited to see the positive change this initiative will bring to future generations.

St Francis’ PS Lurgan Colour Run
Our first Colour Run of 2025 – and what a way to start! In celebration of the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day, the school requested a green and gold-themed run with fun sporting stations, and we were more than happy to bring their vision to life. The energy was incredible, with students and teachers alike getting fully involved and embracing all the fun.

Lá Peile Naomh Proinsias 2025
We were truly honoured to be part of this memorial event, celebrating a beloved Irish-speaking figure from the Lurgan area. Three schools came together for a day filled with fun, camaraderie, and activity! We kept the energy high with our inflatables, soft archery, and engaging sports challenges-ensuring that every student had an unforgettable experience. It was a remarkable event, and we were proud to play a role in making it happen.

Armagh CBS Staff Day
Our long-standing partner school, Armagh CBS, knew that our fun and engaging services go beyond just students and therefore entrusted us with delivering an interactive and dynamic staff day! Through a series of team-building activities and collaborative exercises, our goal was to strengthen connections among staff members, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. It was a fantastic day filled with laughter, teamwork, and a shared sense of achievement.

Dungannon and South Lake Basketball NI Tournaments
Our partnership with Basketball NI kicked off at the start of the year with an eight-week coaching programme across twelve selected schools in the Craigavon and Dungannon areas. These sessions were a huge success, helping students develop their skills, teamwork, and confidence on the court. To put their hard work to the test, we hosted local tournaments, bringing the schools together for an exciting showcase of talent, sportsmanship, and collaboration. It was incredible to see the students’ progress in action!

Mid Ulster District Council Family Fun Day
Our strong partnership with Mid Ulster District Council meant they trusted us to provide top-tier entertainment for their penultimate Multiply Family Fun Day, and we didn’t disappoint! The event was a huge success, with families getting involved in a variety of fun and interactive activities to improve their numeracy skills!

First Cohort Kickoff for UYI
The UYI programme officially launched on Monday, 24th March, marking the beginning of an exciting initiative designed to empower young people across Northern Ireland. In collaboration with Boys and Girls Club NI, DKIT, and PeacePlayers NI, we began delivering sessions to twinning youth organisations in Belfast, Craigavon, Dungannon, Lurgan, Newry, and Portadown. This programme is already making a meaningful impact, fostering teamwork, confidence, and community among young people, and we are thrilled to be part of its journey.

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Numeracy Fun Day
Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council trusted Healthy Kidz to deliver a fun and engaging Numeracy Fun Day, boosting adult confidence in maths through interactive activities. With numeracy challenges, soft archery, face painting, and character entertainment, there was something for everyone. Over 135 families attended, enjoying an electric atmosphere with prizes awarded every hour. It was fantastic to see families embrace numeracy in such a dynamic way, and we look forward to more events like this!
