In this block of dance afterschool’s, the kids will be learning a set of dance routines that will be broken down each week in a simplistic way so each child feels confident when performing them. There is also an opportunity for kids to work in groups and create their own dance routines set to upbeat and current pop songs with the help of the specialist coach leading the session. This gives them an insight into creative choreographing and gaining the confidence in performing infront of their friends.
In this block of gymnastics afterschool, the kids will be introduced to basic abilities that will help them learn the qualities needed to begin their gymnastics journey. These are broken down into different gymnastics stations focusing on certain safety aspects needed to follow through with learning gymnastics abilities such as cartwheels and tumble-overs. This will help kids develop certain fundamental areas such as strength and balance, in fun and engaging ways.
Sports Club afterschool consists of promoting different types of athletic sports every week. With a mix of vigorous warm ups, specific skills to each sport and then fun games and matches to finish, this encourages kids to work in teams and get an insight into learning different aspects and playing a variety of sports such as Soccer, Rugby, Dodgeball and Hockey.
Fun, Fitness & Games
This fitness–based afterschool consists of fun games while taking on an approach of sporting workouts, encouraging kids to exercise whilst having fun. This will benefit a healthy lifestyle through exercising workouts and fun team building games that will be inclusive for each child taking part.
Road to Croker
In this afterschool,kids are encouraged to participate in a competitive journey leading up to the “Gates of Croker”. It begins with simple warm ups and appropriate skills, then the kids are split up into different County teams and separated to different named pitches to then progress as the two last standing teams to play at ‘Croke Park’. This afterschool creates a big buzz between each playing teams and promotes team work and healthy competition.
This unique afterschool focuses on the art of karate, mainly on the breakdown of “Kata” which is a special Martial Arts routine. Our specialist coach concentrates on basic Karate movements such as punches, kicks, takedowns and sweeps with all the safety aspects included. This afterschool strengthens such skills as balance and partner work, while having fun learning new karate techniques.
Our Soccer afterschool is a block of sessions focusing on specific ball skills and drills that then progress into football matches. Each afterschool begins with a soccer based warm up which include fun energetic games followed by small group football matches which allows each child to achieveanadequate number of touches on the ball during each game.
Our Golf Afterschool’s programme at Healthy Kidz gets children course ready by teaching golf Fundamentals using Golf equipment. All pupils will develop grip, stance, posture, putting, chipping and long game through a range of fun drills. Along with having fun with their peers. Children will gain a fundamental understanding of the game of golf. Children will gain an understanding of the basics of golf, through doing drills, and playing fun games relating to fundamental movements.
